Welcome to Resume Builder ("we," "our," or "us"). Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services.

1. Data Storage and Collection

1.1 Local Storage

General Rule: We do NOT collect, store, or transmit your resume content, photos, or personal details to our servers.

For standard resume creation, all data you enter into the app (including name, contact details, work history, education, and profile photos) is stored locally on your device. You have full control over your data.

Exception for AI Features: If you choose to use the "AI Interview Coach" or other AI-assisted features, specific data (such as your resume text, job title, and voice inputs) will be temporarily transmitted to our secure backend and third-party AI providers solely to generate the AI responses. (See Section 1.3 for details).

1.2 Information We Collect

While we do not collect your personal resume data, we may collect the following limited information:

• Account Information: If you choose to create an account, we store your email address and authentication tokens via third-party providers (e.g., Apple, Google) solely for managing your subscription status.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g., app launches, feature usage) to improve app performance.
• Crash Logs: We may collect crash reports to identify and fix bugs.

1.3 AI Features & Third-Party Services

When you utilize our AI Interview Coach or voice-based features, the following data collection and transmission occurs:

• Resume Data: The text of your selected resume and the job title you provide are securely transmitted to our backend servers and to trusted third-party artificial intelligence providers (e.g., OpenAI, Dify) to generate personalized interview questions and feedback.
• Voice Input (Speech-to-Text): If you use the microphone to answer questions, your voice is transcribed using native device capabilities (e.g., Apple Speech Recognition, Google Speech Recognition). The resulting text transcription is then sent to our AI providers. We do not store or record your raw audio files.
• Data Usage by AI: The data transmitted is used solely to provide the in-the-moment AI interview experience. Our third-party AI partners are bound by strict data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your resume data or conversations to train their public models.

2. How We Use Your Information

Since your resume data is stored locally, we do not use it for any purpose other than displaying it to you within the app and generating PDF documents on your device. We use collected account/usage data to:

• Authenticate your access to VIP features.
• Manage your subscription and purchase history.
• Improve the stability and performance of the app.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share your personal resume data, except when you explicitly use our AI features as described in Section 1.3. We may share limited account/device data with third-party service providers only for specific purposes:

• Analytics & Crash Reporting: Tools like Google Firebase may be used to collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports.
• Payments: Payment processors (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) handle financial transactions. We do not store your credit card information.
• AI Providers: When using the AI Interview Coach, necessary text data (resume, job title, and transcribed answers) is temporarily sent to our AI service partners (e.g., OpenAI/Dify API) to generate the interview simulation.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Resume Data: Since this data is stored locally, deleting the app will permanently delete all your resumes and associated data. It is your responsibility to backup your data (e.g., by exporting PDFs).

Account Data: You can request the deletion of your account and associated subscription data through the app settings or by contacting us.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we collect. However, the security of your resume data primarily depends on the security of your own device.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
