Welcome to Resume Builder ("we," "our," or "us"). Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services.

1. Data Storage and Collection

1.1 Local Storage

General Rule: We do NOT permanently store your resume content, profile photos, or personal details on our servers.

For standard resume creation and PDF/JSON export, all data you enter into the app (including name, contact details, work history, education, skills, and profile photos) is stored locally on your device. You have full control over your data.

Exception for Optional AI Features: If you choose to use optional AI-assisted features—such as AI Resume Import (PDF parsing and photo OCR), AI Resume Writing, AI Resume Score & Audit, JD Keyword Tailoring, AI Cover Letter Generation, or Multi-Language Resume Translation—the specific resume text, uploaded resume document/image for OCR, or target job description you provide will be temporarily transmitted to our secure backend and third-party AI service providers solely to generate the requested AI response. (See Section 1.3 for details).

1.2 Information We Collect

We do not require you to register an account with your name, email address, or phone number. We collect only the minimum technical information required to operate the Service:

• Anonymous Device Identifier & Subscription Status: We assign an anonymous device identifier (UDID/User ID) and process App Store / Google Play purchase receipts solely to manage free AI trial quotas and verify your PRO subscription status across sessions.
• Voluntary Support Feedback: If you contact us via the in-app "Contact Support" form, we receive the feedback message and any optional contact details (such as email) you choose to provide so we can respond to your inquiry.
• Usage & Diagnostic Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data and crash logs to maintain service stability and fix bugs.

1.3 AI Features & Third-Party Services

When you actively trigger an AI-assisted feature in the app, the following temporary data transmission occurs:

• Resume Text & Job Descriptions: When you use AI Writing, AI Resume Score, JD Keyword Tailoring, AI Cover Letter Generation, or Multi-Language Translation, the relevant text of your resume and/or target job description is securely transmitted to our backend servers and trusted third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Dify) to generate your results.
• Imported Resume Documents & Photos (OCR): When you use AI Resume Import via PDF or photo scan, the selected file or document image is temporarily transmitted to extract and structure your resume text. Profile headshots added to your resume remain locally on your device and are never sent to AI providers.
• Data Usage by AI: Transmitted data is used solely to fulfill your immediate request in real time. Our third-party AI partners are bound by strict data processing terms and do not use your API-transmitted resume content to train their public models.

1.4 Device Permissions

Our app requests the following device permissions only when you use the corresponding feature:

• Camera: Used only when you choose to take a profile photo for your resume or scan a printed resume document for AI import.
• Photo Library: Used only when you select an existing image from your gallery as your resume profile photo or pick an image of a printed resume to scan and import. We only access the specific image you select.

2. How We Use Your Information

Since your resume data is stored locally on your device, we use the limited technical and transaction data we collect solely to:

• Verify and restore your access to PRO subscription features.
• Manage free trial quotas and fulfill on-demand AI generation/import requests.
• Respond to customer support inquiries and improve app stability.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share limited data with third-party service providers only as necessary to provide the Service:

• Payments: Apple App Store and Google Play Store process all subscription transactions directly. We never receive or store your credit card or payment details.
• AI Service Providers: When you initiate an AI writing, scoring, tailoring, translation, cover letter, or OCR import task, the relevant text or document snippet is temporarily processed by our AI service partners (e.g., OpenAI/Dify API) to return the generated result.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Resume Data: Since all resumes and profile photos are stored locally on your device, you can delete any resume directly inside the app, or uninstall the app to permanently remove all local data. We recommend backing up your resumes via PDF or JSON export.

Device & Support Records: Because we do not use personal user accounts, no personal profile is stored on our servers. If you wish to have your anonymous device record or support inquiry history deleted, you may contact us at any time via the in-app "Contact Support" form or by emailing support@grozal.com.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we collect. However, the security of your resume data primarily depends on the security of your own device.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
